the inklings aren't conciously deciding to be evil, but they're still being evil. they're genociding salmonids and octarians, the only reason octarians are welcome in inkling society is because the inklings are too busy doing ritual self harm to even notice them, with splatoon 3's solo mode theyre probably gonna start committing a third genocide, character limit :(

i think that like, story mode octolings dont literally die when i splat them, theyre probably connected to a far away respawn point? i dunno, but with the other octarians i dont think that applies so yeah

yeah the octarians and inklings are both functionally immortal which makes it really difficult to actually genocide them but the inklings are nonetheless trying their hardest

SO TURNS OUT MY ETHERNET ADAPTER IS FINE ITS THE SWITCH DOCK ITSELF THATS BROKEN WHICH IS JUST GREAT BECAUSE YOU CANT GET REPLACEMENTS FOR THOSE

ok yall i can only afford one which should i get: ethernet adapter so i can play splatoon 3 online without shitty ass lag whenever i Eventually manage to get money for NSO (ill have story mode until then ig) or an NSO subscription (so i can play online but on garbage mobile data)

NSO subscription. ofc i dont know how bad the lag is. if the lag is at the point where when you're gaming your level of frustration is increasing, then get ethernet FS.

i dont know (if the switch has a ping check i can't find it). with mobile data it's livable, but i am on a limited data plan and thats a whole Thing.

if you do go through with moving to another site, it'll be sad to see you go. your site has always been the one i point to as quintessential neocities. strange, obscure, maybe confusing sometimes (all in a complimentary way), but coming from the heart and realer than anything on major social media

Thank you so much, that really made my day to read. That's definitely the vibe I'm after on the site and I'm thrilled it comes across as such. Don't worry, after looking at alternatives in detail there's no way I can afford to switch platforms anyway, haha. Keeping the site profile up too now the unhappiness seems to have died down and everybody's been a good sport about me not being super active right now so...

i think i know what the problem is with the embroidery. transparent space in an image is still space, so if you've just transparented everything around the embroidery then the image will still have the same resolution (and take up the same space)
