OH GOSH ty!!! I felt the same when I happened upon your site, escpecially after reading the "in defense of being weird.." article you had linked under your manifesto [it put word to some feelings i've been having for a while but couldnt put a finger on], and I love wandering around your site in general. Got a giggle out of the definition for a hurdy gurdy in the "jot that down" page as well :'D

HAHAH thank you!!! and YEAH lovebirds are so evil dude. i still love my little hatebird a lot though hehe- i also have 3 budgies! i haven't had the time to add them onto the page yet though unfortunately

for the collectors : there is now an assortment of buttons for you to pick and choose from, including classic bevel, and contemporary flat. like a genie in a dumpster, your wish is my instant hyperfixation.

ayyyy that sticker collection !!! A+ colour choice and overall design -- i like how you've incorporated gifs without entering full-on visual assault mode. you're gracefully waltzing along the line between early 2000s retro [back when i collected skins like they were stickers] and contemporary, and it is aesthetic in the best way.

Also I've gotta say I cannot stop looking at your site. The CMYK explosion, the typography choices on each individual page, it's all SO GOOD. And, from one BD person to another, hope you're well.

aaaaaah thank you! CMYK is *chef's kiss* forever. as far as i'm concerned, external stylesheets is a thing that happens to other people :))) and thank you, fellow sufferer strapped into this rollercoaster of not fun. swinging frequently, but at least the good days are -actually- good. guess it's time to make with the the chaos!

the tutorial on pixel art is fantastic! i love how you basically use underpainting to figure out colours and lighting -- i've never seen it explained that way before and it makes so. much. sense.

oh oh oh!!! now THIS is exciting! i've designed my own writing system based on the IPA -- very, very different to yours. mine is circular, whereas yours reminds of romaji, especially the kawaii version. thank you SO much for sharing the manual!

your media collection is EVERYTHING! especially the music -- i love how truly diverse it is. have you ever read iain m. banks' non-SF works? you might enjoy them. rip rick mayall. never got to watch the young ones, but drop dead fred changed my life. how many times have i watched it? i will never know.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! <3 i'm not familiar with his works, i'll have to check them out! if you enjoy drop dead fred, i would definitely recommend the young ones and bottom; they're absolutely iconic. i met an artist at a con named drew blank, and he has a bunch of merch related to rik mayall that's definitely worth checking out. i love your website, the design is so colorful and original! thanks again for your comment!
