I can't believe this is the first thing I read after getting my hands on an ancient Kindle (I am too poor to have physical books rn and it's easy to get free books on there)

I think that won't be a concern anymore when death is done away with. The only reason we can "waste time" is because it's limited, and its very passing as a consequence on us. When death is done away with, that whole dynamic will be no more. For now, we gotta continue to run the race 'til we reach the finish.

I could never do "enough" to be "worthy" of the grace that God has shown me. While I strive to live virtuously out of gratitude for that grace, I can also take peace in the fact that Christ makes up for where I might lack as The Holy Spirit refines me to be more like Him. You are already accepted by God. The question is, can you accept yourself?

Interesting insights...Some general comments: Governments and businesses are simply groups of people. What is the spirit that drives them, both individually and collectively? Laws matter little when motives are corrupted by selfishness.

Objectifying another stems from a lack of empathy, an indifference to one's impact upon them. It is rationalized through pride, seeing oneself as "greater" than another. It thrives off of comparison and competition, rather than dignity and voluntary cooperation.

Consent can only be given when communication is open and honest, when decisions are well-informed and made without force or manipulation. Likewise, people can only come to mutual agreements when there is genuine trust that everyone is going to do what they have agreed upon together.

@Sage, I see, and I agree. That's going to play a part in how I think this *could* be fixed but of course.... I don't have much faith in it being fixed. My focus was just to give significant doubt to Denmark's copyright law as being a band-aid for this issue.

Also, yeah, governments are just groups of people but we know the government is full of pedophiles. Like just straight up, I really believe the government is full of pedophiles and they would -love- to have copyright over our daughters. Maybe I'm strawmanning the problem a bit (with a slippery slope to boot) but just based on horrifying things that have been revealed to us... I just don't believe elsewise.

And for businesses, I mean like the Big businesses, Google, Meta or whatever the heck; things that make money off of People instead of directly recieving money from people.

Sometimes men complain about women trying to usurp their place or trying to be as men, but I think that desire comes from the fact that Eve was cursed. It wasn't supposed to be this way initially. Part of the curse was "your desire shall be for your husband." I'm not saying that a good Christian marriage is bad or anything, not at all and I am very looking forward to being married, but marriage is inherently

People sometimes complain about women being chaotic or complicated in nature and my opinion is that (well, also, it is how God made us, so maybe don't complain?) at LEAST we have that. Men are physically stronger and have used such a strength against us but women are naturally more cunning and we have used that to our advantage. Wisdom is a woman in the Bible.

How much more insidious and hateful would a world be if men had their wills towards their wives, even if they were abused in some way, and women used their brand of violence (psychological) against the entire other half of the population?

Christ is The Second Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45-49). Through him, the curses upon the serpent, Eve, and Adam are already redeemed. For example, a man who tries to rule over his wife isn't following Christ (Ephesians 5:25-31). As in each, should it be reflected in the whole because the church is The Bride of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2).

Only when they are of one flesh will they be able to enter The Marriage Supper of The Lamb. (Matthew 22:2-14; Isaiah 61:10; Revelation 19:7-9). But many people's hearts are hard, so they still do not know the truth of marriage. May their hearts be softened, in the name of Jesus The Christ, Amen.

Regarding the hypothetical of Adam eating the fruit first, I think things would have gone about the same, since Adam was the one given the instruction to not of the Tree, and Adam's and Eve's eyes were open _after_ Adam ate of the fruit

I'm not sure if the curses would have been different in that scenario, since they do correspond to the roles that men and women are supposed to take in marriage

@Cutsman Well it's just the wording of "your will shall be for your husband" that makes me think marriage would have looked different before the fall. Not to mention pain in childbirth and just the fact that things have been rough for women ever since the beginning of history basically.

Bit late Quills. To answer, heard it said that if Adam never ate the fruit he would have been able to restore his wife Eve to the grace of God. He would have interceded on her behalf for her good. Unfortunately, Eve was deceived. Adam was NOT, and he ate willingly, using his wife as an excuse, when God confronted him about it.
