URRRRRGH YEAH I hate that they're only hiring senior-whatevers or have only leader positions open for people who have made games right out the womb 🙄😣 Maybe you could try going to game jams or making some little game projects your own to get some experience to show? 5 years tho is... a tall ask;;;

it is what it is unfortunately LOL, game dev job market is a competitive hell
everyone says "do what you love" but no one acknowledges how hard it is to get a job!
i love having a non-existent 5 years of experience bc no one is hiring to get said experience!!!
