Such a shame the clouds blocked your view! Still kinda cool to see the clouds get dark and the birds stop tweeting. Eerie. I watched the BBC coverage here in the UK as we only got a sliver of it here (barely worth mentioning) (also very cloudy here as well) Thanks for your write up!
Despite the clouds, I bet that felt very surreal! I saw some vids shared by people who captured the dramatic switch of lightness & darkness in the sky.
