It's cool that you are playing through Dragon Quest in Japanese! This is one of my big goals with studying the language, there's just way too much interesting stuff that has not and will never be translated.

@pastelshoal Thanks! I hate how fast every word I have ever learned dumps out of my brain when I hit a textbox that’s even mildly difficult, but I’m hoping that part of it improves with time. I am determined despite not being very good with languages.

that sucks :( what do you usually do when you wake up from a bad dream? also i find it funny we both have a lot of sonic games we havent started/finished lol...ive got at least 6

@thechillzone I am bad about it, I bought yet another one I haven’t added to my “Sonic page” yet— they tend not to be so pricey, though, so it’s a small vice. As for waking up from bad dreams, I usually get my phone to make sure nothing bad *really* happened and then lay there until bad thoughts are gone. It’s not effective, do you have any tricks?

yeah, just laying there isn't great. what i do is go use the bathroom (which helps it set in that im in the real world now) and then i sit in my bed and read a children's storybook. i have a collection of them - some ive gotten secondhand at libraries, yard sales, etc. for cheap, and some ive had since my childhood. that way i experience a nice little gentle story and im not reliving the horrible story that 1/2

just happened in the nightmare. the whole process takes maybe 20 minutes and it always helps me :) and i take my time with the book, saying each word in my head and admiring the illustrations

Thank you!! I enjoyed reading through your site as well; I like the idea of trying to write more about the video games we play. Too often I just plow through something without ever stopping to think about it. Maybe from now on I will take some notes and try and decompose my thoughts a bit more, even if brief.

Thinking about Power Wash Simulator, I've wanted to try that game and House Flipper for a while. They seem like they could be so cathartic to just sit down and lose time on.
PowerWash Simulator is really relaxing, but I have a ton of control issues with House Flipper. I feel like that would be at the same level if it weren't so frustrating to install stuff.
