hmmm ok so. i was trying to figure out how to do css transformations so i could do the animations on the temple page The Proper Way. and i figured it out!!! which is awesome. but i did have 1 problem that i couldn't figure out how to solve: you'll see when you hover over the car image and the animation starts, it pushes the box to be longer because the transformation rotates the image and makes it take up more space.

sorry i accidentally pressed enter. that wouldn't be consistent across different systems (i generally try to stay away from positioning when i can for this reason). but i can't seem to find another way to make sure the image doesn't disrupt the dimensions of the div while also having it follow the other images. ideas would be appreciated -bobana

I'M DUMB AS ROCKS. i just realized i could fix this with an invisible container around the animations. false alarm!! might work on replacing the gifs with animations now. - bobana

ok. i Still don't have any how javascript works but i do have a pretty simple solve for our div tab issues i think. instead of showing/hiding/layering divs on click, we could have them All showing at the same time (when the page is loaded the home tab shows up on top, so it shows up first) and have them reappear on top when clicked. does this make sense -shrimp

i thought of this......wouldn't they just keep appearing if you kept clicking the buttons and eventually overwhelm the site??? or something??? but it's definitely worth a try. most people wouldn't go through that much effort anyways i suppose. also we need to tell orangutan to actually work on her page....does she have the password to this acc? -bobana

ok so. i figured out how to make the buttons work.......but there are some issues. right now they toggle the divs on and off but we need them to simultaneously toggle the div on AND hide both of the other divs. so that's issue number 1. issue number 2 is that you can toggle them off. we need it to ONLY do the on function and then when you click a different one that will hide it. right???? ok. so. -bobana continues ->

if you want to fix either of these issues - the buttons are where they've always been but i added a javascript callback to each of them that toggles them on and off: home is "show1", about is "show2" and members is "show3". i've aqquainted myself with javascript at this point but i still kinda have no idea what i'm doing so if you know anything about it i would greatly appreciate the help here. continued ->

the functions are all located at the bottom of the javascript section. the about and members divs are both toggled off by default which is shown within their respective inline styling as "display:none;". i tried to make new functions for each of them that would hide the divs ("hide1()" hides the main box and so on) and adding those to the button functions - 'onclick="show2();hide1();hide3();"' continued ->
