The 'Stupid Deaths' logo here is meant to be a link to the page where I'm archiving my various MUD2 personae (along with their demises and logs of amusing/interesting incidents). However, I'm not quite sure if the Horrible Histories 'Stupid Deaths' logo really y'know works for this thing. Part of me is considering one of those japanese funeral portrait things instead, but I'm also not sure if that would work either.

not sure how to layer the vertical beams over the slightly-rotated diagonal beams (instead of having them display under). z-index doesn't seem to be working. if anyone knows how to solve this issue and has nothing better to do, feel free to let me know what im meant to be doing to make them look less scuffed :p

Hi hi, I think the rotated beams appear in front of the vertical beams because the rotated beams are children of the vertical beams. I suggest creating a div that is a parent for both the vertical beam and the two rotated beams. Also the wall/beams/doorway appears to stretch to the browser window, you might want to consider defining the proportions of these elements a different way.

welp, along with the WIP mini-overhaul of the MUD2 section of my site, I've also managed to clean up part of my site's file structure (moved stupid deaths into mud2 subfolder rather than their own subfolder in root). much easier to do this in an external editor than on neocities itself.

Okay so I've started working on an enhanced layout for the landing page(?) for my MUD2 shrine thing (not intended for mobile browsers), right here: https://friday-girl.neocities.org/mud2/layouttest (inspired by some of jodieblend's css). Intent is for this content to be accessed via this totally real Elizabethan Tearoom (links as things in the tearoom). Alt accessible sitemap also planned. Feedback/ideas welcome.

I think I've come up with a plan for a partial renovation I want to do for part of my site (which I've been procrastinating on for Some Time), will probably keep you updated when I've planned the architecture and such properly.

also had an upcoming genetic testing appointment (related to my large quantity of lung whoopsies) today and it was pretty cool seeing as they're in the same building anyway so they just popped in to my room here in the hospital and yeah I'll find out the results of that in A Few Months.

also they offered to test me for Klinefelter as well (this is unrelated to the tests for the main thing that I was being tested for in this appointment), chances are I don't have it anyway, but would be kinda interesting if it turns out I do have it. The results for that will apparently arrive a bit sooner than the Actually Important Results ofc. but yeah kinda neat I guess

I've just had another x-ray, so I'll find out if I actually am okay once the hospital staff have reviewed that. On a positive note, they did remove the chest drain and I'm not feeling that bad (I was able to walk myself over to the x-ray place instead of needing a porter), which is a good sign

welp, I'm back in hospital again, terrible time trying to sleep last night (as per usual for the first night in hospital), and I'm meant to be having my procedure in about half an hour. fun times.

Repeat of the same procedure I had at the start of October but now on my other lung (to safeguard that one from the laws of physics as well) and yeah still not a very fun experience.

Winnie managed to slay the dragon - without having a stupid death in the process! (it was absolutely terrifying, but I might try it again, there's still quite a few things I need to explore on the dragon's island :p)

When did mud2 go free? I looked around on the forums and saw ppl talking about making it free to drive up player numbers... in 2006. When did they actally go through it? I sent them an e-mail but never got a response I think their mail server is down or smth

To be honest with you, I have no idea. It looks like the .com instance (the Canadian one) went free in 2006, but I have no idea when the .co.uk instance went free. And honestly I have no idea how long it takes Foddy (the guy who runs the .co.uk instance) to respond to emails, so your best bet might be to ask one of the Wizzes for a hand with that.
