i'm from croatia. idk where are you from but to this day, on the news in my country they talk about the war, every single day something is mentioned. it's a VERY sensitive subject here and in serbia, people are still grieving and have their own thoughts about it. we who were born at that time want all of the hate to be over with or the ppl got influenced by their parents and still continue the hate /1

it's rly interesting to see someone getting curious about it so i'm glad you're writing this, i'm just asking you to keep your mind open because there are a lot of lies on the both sides and it's hard to understand some things if you're not from this area of the world. :)

Hi sanhyo, tysm for commenting, and I appreciate you taking the time to point that out. I'm definitely skeptical of what I'm reading so far bc so far it's probably very American/British in perspective, which throws a lot of biases into the mix. I fully intend to read about key figures and the roles they played in this, because as you say there are lots of lies out there. ->

I recently read a few accounts by Muslim refugees from Bosnia, which is why I started researching. I hope that as I learn more I'll gain a more thorough understanding of the war and its lasting impacts.

Added a bunch of new links to the Dock (more details on the Portal/Scratching Post), updated two Affiliate link descriptions, made the Observatory section XHTML compliant, and added a WIP new button bashing discord and promoting the unofficial Neocities IRC channel over at IRC.Rizon.net. Put up a new page on the UFO, about my own personal thoughts on the controversial phenomenon known as autigender. I have been trying to get this done for two months now due to worrying about how it would come off, but ultimately decided these thoughts needed to be expressed.

Lots more thought provoking stuff! I've noticed myself caring less and less about what people think over the years and I'm now facinated by the idea I could be biologically wired this way, to not conform! But then, is it that I've (subconsciously or naturally) sought a life void of social contact so I don't have to conform, and thus lead my brain to become wired this way, or was it wired this way all along?!

It's not my place to make any assumptions about you specifically, but there are theories that a decreased or complete lack of social motivation is one of the absolute pillars of neurodivergency/autism. I have pondered the same thing you mentioned, and still don't know. I adore social contact with the few people I like, but it's not something I necessarily seek out or can't live without.
