Such a curious piece of hardware... Your particular Deltagold probably has a story of it's own too; have you tried to trace it's origins and how it came into your friend's possession?
He inherited it from his father, who had passed away some time before, so he does not know much about any of the systems he has, I do not believe there was any company branding on the system of the owners before that either
