Konbini ningen is one of my favorite books. One of the few representation of a neurodivergent woman that seemed accurate on the way a person on the far side of the espectrum copes with society. Glad you found it interesting
@soulstuff Yeah, I am definitely interested in reading more by the author; she was fabulous at characterization. I feel like in a worse book, readers would have been manipulated into feeling bad for the protagonist, but this was smart enough to show her strength.
How are you liking fashion dreamer? i remember you seemed disappointed when it first released and i was wondering if you feel differently about it now
@Jeith I like it after the initial disappointment, especially when events are going on to add some extra goal setting to the game. It doesn’t feel like a full priced game at all, though, especially not with a pretty harsh in game gacha and a fairly empty offline mode. The character creator is nice, though, the NPCs are charming, and there’s a steady stream of unlocks. I’d say it’s deeply flawed, but fun.
Continued: Also, I’m not having the best time right now, and it’s nice to have a reliably zero stress game to unwind with on a really bad day.
makes sense - i was initially going to buy it but was hesitant after seeing most people's reactions. hope you feel better soon though ^^
Man, we will never see anything that can match the pure concentrated goodness of The Orange Box ever again.
@skep No, I can't even imagine. I was staring at the menu last night in mild disbelief.
Pikuniku! Bizarre but hilarious, I enjoyed.
@skep Despite being half asleep, I’m looking forward to playing more when I’m done with everything tonight. More games should be funny!
I'll have to check out Convenience Store Woman! Also the bookbug concept sounds cool!
@miela In that case, might I also recommend Wandersong?
@cherrycloudchiffon Yeah! I'm doing a 100 books for the year challenge with one of my coworkers, and Bookbug has already helped me mix things up. Plus, I've never done a book club before, it's fun!
@skep 100%, I'm always looking for recommendations! The visual style seems super appealing, from a quick google, and it's an interesting concept, too.
