I lost access to my mailbox and had a long waiting period to get a new key during which I had the PO hold my mail. I'm sorting through all mail from late Sept - mid Nov and it'll take some time to reply... in case anyone sent me anything...

to be more accurate, the lock on my box door rusted significantly to the point where neither I nor my mail people could use it. fellas it takes a few weeks to replace a mailbox lock/key so #lessonslearned take care of it sooner rather than later!

My take on door holding discourse is that if you're going to hold the door for someone, let them walk through it before you start going through. you have confused the whole situation

if slow people make you uncomfortable, then hold the door open behind you instead. you'll still get all the social points.
