I've collected quite the collection of buttons! I've updated to change the layout & add mutuals who weren't there before. I got the idea for the layout after seeing @chesca's neighborhood page with all the cute houses. Shortly after I went shopping and saw one of those giant plaza signs and thought it looked like a buttons page, and here we are.

to celebrate friday the 13th (and wednesday the 11th) i stubbornly refused to get my workbreak of next week rescheduled for my mental integritys sake whilst my manager on sick leave (flu) so now the shop will be partially closed next week #notmyproblem

I think the most interesting part about finding out somebody stole your code is looking at how messy their site is. so you stole my layout just to mess it up? You're not even making it better? can't figure out the code and you gave up and just put a mess online? I don't mind it if people use my code to learn, but I don't understand the point if you're just going to steal it and then make it look awful.

I mean some people make gross looking sites on purpose which is cool, but if you're not even going to learn the basics of CSS grid then why are you stealing a layout that uses that.

I don't know, I don't feel it's all that serious tbh. In fairness, I don't think (at least not that I know of) anyone's stolen any of my code yet, so I'll see how I react when that happens (if ever)? I disagree with the idea about not thinking they should manage a website at all. I think that’s a terrible thought.

I'm not fond of the one-to-one steal, given that there are so many free templates out there. also, if people just reach out to me I'm probably fine for the most part with them using my stuff. I frankly don't put enough effort into my coding to be that worried about it. I just think it's interesting and I don't understand it personally 😂 it's a little baffling.
there should be a trend on websites where everyone makes a trash pile page. on this page you put all of your ideas that you don't like. that whole your trash is someone else's treasure, that applies to ideas too. let someone execute something better than you would have, especially if you have no plans to execute at all

I have something somewhat similar, kinda-sorta. I just call it my "demos" page, filled with stuff that isn't finished yet, or may never get finished? *shrugs*

someone in a server im in got majorly teased about their reddit (connected to their discord) to the point they ended up deleting their reddit account, one way to go by it certainly 😭 it made me manually go thru and delete some of my comments there also... (fortunately not many, havent had much a presence there)

I only used Reddit for about a month and then deleted my account. I am interested in why folks are removing their data--AI scraping? Or privacy concerns?

The main reason I'm removing my presence is because I've been online stalked multiple times in my life. so if I leave a site I prefer to leave entirely! I'm not too worried about it right now but I just have these habits from those experiences. but yeah generally I think people are more concerned about data privacy now than they were before AI existed.
