lately, when i go to my index page and i click the gates to enter my website, it pop-ups a new window in firefox with ads!! i have no idea why; my current suspicion is the visitor counter that i have embedded in my index page. does someone knows why this happens and how can i solve it? i would hate for an ad to appear while someone is browsing my website (っ- ‸ - ς)

idk what's happening, but it seems that that website is unreliable in some way - my ad blocker blocked my browser from opening the website at all. perhaps you can switch to fc2 - lots of folks use their service and it's reliable! https://counter.fc2.com/en/
@kkbkkb it's probably the counter, then. i changed it for the fc2 one (finally made it work yay) and i think it looks pretty good. thanks for the suggestion! i hope no ads appear ever again (╥﹏╥)
