weird thing - usually i'm on a chromebook when i edit this site, cause im at class, BUT this week for some reason Verdana hasn't worked at all? like on my website it's just Arial and in google docs it's just gone??

Verdana only works for systems that have it installed (Windows has it by default, not sure about chromebooks).

right - it WAS working before. perfectly fine, for the past three years. except for this week

Did you try manually getting verdana.ttf from somewhere and installing it? (I don't know whether you could do that on a chromebook but it should suffice if possible)
yeah, then you try to watch them at 720p and have to zoom out until text becomes unreadable
