what are the thoughts on nekoweb? no diff than neocities other than the social aspect? i went & got a url but idk what else i’d put on the site that i dont put here, plus i really like the social aspect with neocities…..

@skep When I'm watching TV or Youtube, I always feel like I have to be doing crafts, being productive, so I relax best reading is all. It's 95% for entertainment over enrichment.

Dude, Ethiopian sounds sooooo yummy. I went to an Ethiopian restaurant one time & it was one of my most memorable dining experiences! On another note, I also use Neocities as a reward. I tell myself that I can play around on here after I've done my school work or sent out emails :)

Ahh @Vashti that makes me so happy because a business lady in like an early 2000s sit/romcom is exactlyyy the vibe I try to curate so things don't feel too mundane. It mostly works! I love leaning into it even if my job and life is nowhere near as glamorous and it's a big part of my style identity as well. Glad we both find ourselves here! It's like we're meeting up in the break room or a coffee shop (*^‿^*)

but i guess i understand the want to make a platform for “old-styled webhosting” that doesnt engage in the social aspect at all like neocities does. idk i dont think i plan on uprooting myself to it
i honestly like it better . neocities isnt giving me all that fun personal web vibe as much as nekoweb does , it just feels more like the website is a part of thecommunity and i like how u can host almost every file type ! i might even buy a donator program because its much cheaper than on here ! i think its worht a shot :]
also since nekoweb is only on its beginning as a public hosting server , im sure we will see more to the social aspect in thefuture ! i think the creators said they were planning on adding it anyway ^__^

I haven't heard of it, but for now I'm content here. If they had more storage, I might move over, but I'm trying to figure out how social I like being on Neocities. I have some e-penpals from here & it makes me happy, but I may try turning my site profile back off for a while. I don't know. that's what i'm planning to do with my nekoweb, just a redirect to my neocities lol. i agree with being content, interactions being fulfilling is a good way to put it. i'm very happy with the little internet strangers i've gotten to know on here :-)
i'm planning on making a redirect too. could also just be a backup option in case neocities goes down, yknow?
