Wanted to comment something on your last update but struggling to word it. Basically: Something similar happened to me earlier this year (screams&shouts) and yes it really is worth so much to get that cold clarity closure dousing, even if you've also got to stew in your own embarassment after.. WHO CARES IT IS GOOD TO BE FEELING..!

it is ultimately fulfilling to be feeling the full spectrum of things... and the bonus feeling of indestructibility after having survived the embarrassment of the friend seeing whatever he saw me say about him (so curious but ultimately not my business) is a fun(ny) thing too

cant bother dm or email so i will answer here bout my site updating: generate my stuff thru eleventy which i shifted to w/ https://whiona.weblog.lol/2023/10/my-neocities-workflow-using-eleventy-and-the-cli-to-speed-up-development this guide a while back, as per my homecooked nunjucks templates and md files. the bandcamp tablelist is from a csv table i feed thru a bespoke python script to get the html counterpart :-p

and, just to be safer even tho i barely update anything aside from barebones.txt on the go, i sync the site files to both my phones with syncthing

thank you so much! this is all sort of what I expected and is eerily similar to me! eleventy on an old Chromebook running Linux cli that I ssh into to update, and the whole thing syncthing'd to a couple of other machines. tailscale to make ssh easy when I'm not on my home network. I just couldn't work out if you did updates from your phone or a laptop or what
