i just learned that any neocities account made after jan 31 2024 wont be able to us things like status cafe. theres a workaround u can see here though https://maphren.neocities.org/blog/posts/19-05-2024-surfing-waves-rss-guide if anyone else was having the same issue...

the link i added goes into more detail than i can probably convey but its because of stricter content security policies to cut down on people abusing the cross-origin resource sharing that status cafe uses

also supporters get access to the cross-origin resource sharing so there is another work around i guess
