new shrine!! :D i really loved researching this band... not only it's Very old but most of the info i found is in a language i do not speak, so for a few days it was only the internet archive, google translate and me against the world LOL. i love this band. i've been making new music and it's making me so happy to be able to sample them and take bits of their art with me to create something new.
ignoring my responsibilities to do this (mix and master like 8 songs for my debut album)
i have started a fanlisting :P feel free to join if you like phoenix! https://lydels.neocities.org/phoenixFanlisting#home
the form refused to work so i had to replace it with an ugly google form... sorry ;-;
hey lydels, formspree has worked good for me so far (ive used it since march), no issues in my experience
i second what finny said, formspree is pretty good. but its worth putting another form of contact like email just incase :)
yea! i saw a looot of fanlistings that had an email there in case the form didn't work so i thought maybe they didnt work often LOL but it's probably just to be safe as u say!
using my shrine to organize the links i have saved of interviews and live concerts and such LOL its so convenient how come i never thought of it before
ยกMe encantรณ tu blog!
I don't think your writing came across as mean, I completely understand where you're coming from! I do believe that social media conditions people to value visual art a lot more than writings just due to the fact that interactions as you put it are incredibly limited, I mean twitter is just 240 characters per message, and having spent a decade of my life on there it definitely stunted my ability not only to (1/1)
read long writings but my ability to articulate myself in a thoughtful way, and I feel like the same holds true for a lot of people just coming off of social media for neocities. I'm optimistic that people will unlearn their bad literacy habits from social media as did I, I think it'll just take time =D Until then I think writings like this that encourage people to write is a great start! (2/2)
also thank you for the shoutout!! ^__^
i hope so too! im glad it doesnt sound mean Lol i guess i didn't want this to sound like "you can ONLY have a website if you write 1000-word essays in your blog" it's more like... about asking ourselves if we don't read/write because we don't want to, or because we are so used to short form content and minimal amounts of communication that we unconsciously avoid anything that requires a little bit more effort...
and no worries i love ur blog :P ur digicam pics are awesome!!
i have never related to a blog post so much... minimalist in design but maximalist in words. appreciate your honesty, looking forward to more.
