Knitting is a fun hobby to get into if you care about fibres of clothes (not biased here), not all wool has to be itchy, it depends on how it hss been processed. That being said, thank you my primsrk polyester undershirt for keeping me warm (on the borderline of sweaty).
I don't know how to knit (yet) but I (sort of) know how to crochet, but since i'm still a beginner i stick to thin wool threads (i will soon make some wrist warmers) and cotton for doilies. Making my own clothes sounds fun! I may need to look for some softer wool... (PS: I looked at your knit diary and I fell in love esp with the brown sweater βΏ)
It is fun! Theres so many possibilities, no more thinking "ah this would be nice if only the sleeves were different and colour less yucky"! Alpaca wool usually is less itchy than sheep but also superwash sheep wool should be softer (do check in person when possible tho). Wrist warmers sound very cozy, hope they turn out great <3 And ty :3
