does anyone sew? very strange out-of-the-blue interest of getting into it, no prior experience.....i just think it'd be a lot of fun/helpful to alter clothes + make pieces for myself.......any recommendations for how to start?!

i’m also looking to learn how to sew… starting with altering simple things like jeans to skirt or jeans to shorts or whatever & slowly working my way up to harder things ! idk what the actual best method is though

There's a great amount of tutorials on youtube for getting started! i suggest watching a few and seeing which one feels best for you, since there's no one-size-fits-all for teaching methods :) i also recommend starting with small projects, so it's not as frustrating when you mess up. if you wanna sew by hand i suggest looking up historical sewing channels/blogs since they're more practical IMO
