Do you like enka/ryuukouka? If so, could I recommend Meiko Kaji's Yadokari?
I like how dark your photos tend to look. I don't know if it's because of the camera you use or purposefully stylistic, but it's really distinct.
Oh perfect I'm so glad to see you back. Wondered where you disappeared to.
i really appreciate it!!! i was having a bit of anxiety but i'm calmed down now
Curious what you'll think about Wang Xiaobo. I've kind of soured on him in recent years to some extent, but I still get excited whenever I see people talking about him.
i actually read that collection because i saw it on your website! it's been a while so i don't remember what i thought all too much, and i didn't bother to write it down when i was reading it, but i think i remember that i liked the writing style, but felt like i was missing a lot of things going on beneath the surface, especially in the last story. and i think i liked the 2nd story the most, but
-- i think i'm just partial to stories where people travel around a lot, because i always find myself enjoying stories where people just do a lot of walking (ie matsuo basho's travel notebook, or dazai osamu's tsugaru, or izumi kyouka's one day in spring...)
thank you so much!!! i'm happy to hear!
