so im remaking my art gallery to include my "bad" sketches and unfinished work. i wanted that section to include a couple nsfw sketches (very vanilla) but i realized neocities has a policy against that and i could get yeeted. i could avoid this by marking my site as 18+, but then i wont show up on special sauce again. is a confirm warning sufficient or should i censor the pps??

even tho im not working 40 hrs a week this summer, i still just had an existential crisis for when i inevitably have to get my big girl engineering job. i love engineering, environmentalism, and the stability this future career will give me, but i cant help but think about all the dreams i have that i will miss out on pursuing.

im too much of a multifaceted person to feel fulfilled doing one job my whole life. but the engineering space doesnt like floaters and i will be forced to forget about this site eventually. i want to be politically active, draw on the side, research on climate change, be in a band, be an engineer, get married and adopt a child. life is so short and i want to experience all i can. but capitalism denies me that freedom

That’s how I feel too :( I miss my teenage years when I didn’t have to think about having to “fit in” to the culture of being in the stem field. Envious of the ppl I hung out in hs who are all in art school now living their best life. It feels so free compared to the stuck up, morally gray people I have to interact with on the daily 💔

school is over (mostly) so i will try to get to updating again. I have a lot i want to do over the summer and hopefully i can make a lot of progress on this site. I also wanted to give a small life update that i broke up with my girlfriend. im okay now but it was rough this past week, which is why i didnt come back sooner.

In my opinion, it really depends if you think showing up on special sauce is worthy or not. If you think it is then I suppose censor bars could work, although I'm not that knowledgeable on the matter, so maybe it would be better to hear others' opinions too to see if they would let that fly (I don't see why they wouldn't, but eh, it's never bad to be too careful)
i dont know what the rules for showing up on special sauce are but i see a bunch of sites in there w a big +18 sign and explicit content warnings in their splash pages rn so i think u should be fine lol
