I think noise music is widely misunderstood, yet fairly criticized. The appeal (for me) is the performance art aspect of it. This alone is a thick filter for people with low tolerance for pretentious art pieces. This is understandable. Noise is inherently raw and vulnerable. It’s less concerned with showing people a good time.

i feel like each noise act is very different and has a lot of personality that rarely shines from the sound alone there are a few local talents that come to mind but noise definitely has conventions to it like all genres

@axayacatl ngl I likely wouldn’t bump noise at home or in the car, but when I see noise live I’m completely locked in, mesmerized, and bewildered.
