Those PS2 games weren't there before right?? I'm not crazy? Also I loved Manhunt on the Xbox, what a good game.
@saltedslug Those are new. I intend to add my favorite games across different consoles. Manhunt is the only game to make me yank the controller out of the port from a jump scare. (it was Piggsy)
chat pile is excellent! do you have any more recommendations for wretched sounding sludge that makes you worry body bugs will crawl out of your speakers (e.g. dystopia, iron monkey)?
yoo chat pile rules, midwest DIY culture at its finest. they're on the front page of Bandcamp today! You should check it out
@tower-falls Iโm not well versed with doom or sludge, but my first thought is Primitive Man
@saltedslug I came across them from a metal meme containing their lyrics to โWhyโ. That sent me down a rabbit hole.
my mantra as of late has been "less scrolling more coding". also, hello fellow disintoxication fan
@tower-falls I still remember the music video I used to watch incessantly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFsYzffZGgc
the relationship between an artist's work and the observer is more complex than just creator and consumer despite what people say. assuming someone supports someone's actions because they like their art is short sighted, we really don't know what someone's relationship is to a work and we rarely see this as an issue outside of the arts (even when it should be)
@axayacatl It should also be noted that the "bad apple" does not represent the entire group. An abusive singer doesn't represent the artistry of the entire band, or misdeeds of a director doesn't negate the efforts of the entire film crew. It is a complex topic, but I ultimately believe people have a collective responsibility to gatekeep ne'er-do-wells from their communities, which they often do.
