When I watched the mist I also thought it wasn't gonna be all that but it is really good! It's one of the only movies that was actually able to unnerve me a bit

@gooooser that's so crazy I came from looking at your movie page JUST NOW to find your comment here. I agree it was actually surprisingly quite scary! Apparently it was the same director as The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption, which makes sense cause of the Stephen King thing but also kind of blew my mind a little when I realized! I'm so glad I finally came around to watching it.

@vashti What's crazy is I put on lots more movies than I log, because I only log a movie if I really sat and properly watched it. I feel like when I just release the pressure of watching the things I'm "supposed" to watch I get sooo much more viewing in. What kinds of movies are you trying to watch next month?

I have a few specific ones: I want to rewatch Perfect Days (2023) because I keep thinking about it, watched it on the plane home about a month ago at this point. Also want to watch First Reformed per a recommmendation from another site (@iwillneverbehappy). But honestly I have like hundreds of movies on my watchlist, so I can watch whatever & feel like I'm doing it right. Oh, I'd really like to watch Alien, actually.

And Bound (1996). There are a lot of older movies that I haven't seen.
