summer suggestion: try your hand at something you think will 90% be a fail or you think you won't be good at and see where it goes :-) my current subject is poetry!
it should be something you're maybe familiar with or interested in. of course, it can be as time-consuming as you wish, it does not have to be something like running a marathon, if you don't want to.
does it humble you further? absolutely. but i think doing something without any real purpose, without expecting to be even good could actually surprise you. it does also help if you want to find something new to try
i have started mine a few weeks ago actually and decided today to share (on a poetry website) what i've written. so far i got comments from two people who actually enjoeyed reading it!!!!
i'm gonna try to play bass! worst case scenario is that I'll have an instrument to tunelessly noodle around on. best case scenario is joining a surf rock band.
