I am sorry this has nothing to do with websites but my mistake caused there to be a fire in my kitchen today and though I was able to put it out by throwing a pot full of water on it, I still feel like I need to vent :( The fire alarm went off only after I had extinguished it, from the smoke, so I am afraid by the time the alarm rings it's probably too late to stop the fire...

Well I just noticed there's like two different Christian webrings going around on neocities so hypothetically it would be okay for me to make maybe a webring for nature-based faiths? Nature-based faiths have a very easy collective word for them in Finnish (luonnonusko) but I'm not sure what would sound catchy in English though! (And no I don't think "earth religion" or "nature worship" are good terms)

how about nature faith or earth faith? kinda similar but still sound better imo, brainstorming. or if you create a graphic for it, you could call it anything and then put a broader definition in the graphic.

Yeah tricky one, because so many English terms carry some kind of historical baggage. I like the word Animism, but it might not be broad enough? I feel like Paganism can sometimes carry a pejorative undertone. So, I think Physiolatry or Naturism might be some of the better English terms for nature worship. Naturism is catchy I think :)

It is just a gap in the English language. When I read serious scholarship about nature-based religions, they'll admit we don't have an accurate term in the settled lexicon. Most terms like 'pagans' still imply being more focused on deities and legends than on nature, and its a struggle for the average person to understand religious practice that's not totally focused on deity worship. TBH you really can make your own

Thank you both. zu, I have another alarm, the previous one as the current one was set by the condominium/taloyhtiö, maybe I should double equip. The previous one always started beeping when I was just regularly deep frying stuff, lol. But better too beepy than not beepy enough.
