All right, well... by popular demand, Radioactive Mode can now be toggled on the home page. Go clear your cache first and don't say I never did anything for you.
Thankyou skep. I will never forget, that you have definitely done at least one thing for me
This is wildly misquoted, but there was an old Roger Ebert review, I think for Spirited Away, that talked about a specific focus/viewpoint making something more universal. Your nonsense is funny *because* it's so specifically yours!
Well in that case, y'all are welcome for enriching you. Also, just saw Spirited Away for the first time like two weeks ago. Figured I've been alive too long not to see the Ghibli films.
(Not counting the time when I was 9 or 10 when my dad picked up Princess Mononoke from Blockbuster figuring "it's a cartoon, the kids will like it" and I ended up scarred)
Telling a friend about Neocities, they responded that "it's charming to see an online community that's dedicated to seeking out each other's cranked unskippable cut scenes."
Shucks, must have missed it, but I believe you! Thanks for keeping an eye out Asterion!
Many, many thanks! My plan is to start dipping into your archives because I'm always looking for new albums to put on at work and I feel lame just picking whatever my streaming service is recommending that week.
For all you dark mode-loving weirdos out there, Skep's Place now has a toggle on the home page. I may not understand you, but I do respect you! Kinda.
On a somewhat related note, you are all my unpaid beta testers today. Ctrl-F5 yadda yadda.
The dark mode will be easier on my eyes when I have a headache, but I like both!
do a blinding neon green background next because i want to destroy what little eyesight i have left
My mom loved these extreme sports games when I was in high school so my family had stacks of them- Dave Mirra would definitely make my "top 10 Tony Hawk competitors that wouldn't seem too out of place on a top Tony Hawk games" list
Hmm, now that's a list idea... no, no, I have too many other things to write already.
Oof 2 games got beaten by demos! I've only ever played a GBA one at which I sucked, but I have over 4 billion hours in ESPN Extreme Games, does that count for anything?
Oh yeah, I just renewed the domain without even thinking about it. Man it's been fun though.
Oh man I skipped over your 1000xResist words because I can't wait to play it soon. My partner and I left HK after the protests, after which I immediately got what is medically termed 'real fucked up' by COVID, so I suspect it may hit quite close to home.
Em-dash-loving humans forever. They will never take my em dash away from me. They call me Emily becuause I use dashes as much as Emily Dickinson. And because my name is Emily.
I thoroughly—very much so— enjoyed this post, and makes me want to—as I'm sure it does many—write a blog post—or toot—with em dashes. In fact—I would love to learn the alt code—could you add it—maybe—am I using it correctly—or are there no rules? Have a great—fabulous—day
@fri11s Looks perfect—I really think this will catch on. You see—even the most routine comment looks refined—considered—yet demure. Surely—a new standard is born.
Ooh, I think I've seen an AI model definitely using those a lot, but I didn't know it was a wider thing. Also, I thought it had been trained wrong since there was no space between the words and the em-dash, but that's how it's used correctly in English? In Finnish you're supposed to separate the dashes from the words with a space, apart from some cases like compound words.
Depends! Hyphens always get a space (except for compound words like you mentioned), as do en dashes. No spaces for em dashes is more traditional I believe, but I've seen it both ways so now I'd say it's personal preference!
These puzzles sound upsetting and infuriating. I've never wanted a playdate more.
They have a special going on right now if you buy two!
Two might be too much of a time investment, in terms of talking someone else into going in on it, but I think this is the trigger I need to just start a little savings pool for now. Your reviews always make it look fun, but Picross for masochists has max appeal.
!But I'm also at the age where I can't justify spending an entire evening beating my head against a wall" amen! My free time and and brain are disappearing. Hints, easy mode, story mode, lay it on me!
Yes! I mean, unless I want to do the challenge. Sometimes I do. But not always.
