if it's not too long-looking (literally, if the hundreds of links are in a small enough font that i don't have to scroll forever and/or they're sectioned off into separate divs according to category), i'm okay. especially if the links are helpful or i find them fascinating, i won't mind, the more the merrier
i think maybe they started off with a short list of links that soon grew into a long one once they added more to their site. they ought to section it by type, or have a separate resources tab for each page
I open in a new tab a bunch of the ones I think sound like something I'd be interested in and if it turns out to be cool then I bookmark the page and keep going. Otherwise I turn away and never come back. But I'd be down, I'm actually trying to make that now. (By topic)

i look for an index or filtering system that will allow me to skip to the links i'm interested in

as I'm very methodical, I question the person's standards and wonder if they didn't just dump a bunch of google results :S
