had to disable comments on my blog entry about polyamory because i got really bad hate comments :[
i've noticed that keeping the chatbox hidden with a click and popup on my homepage or putting it on another page helps with the spam tbh
I've also experienced some hate comments in my guestbook after I posted something, putting it on a seperate page didn't fix it, adding moderation to ayano's didn't fix it, so I just closed it for now
@doqmeat unfortunately i don't think it's automated spam, because i also get weird comments on other pages :(
ooooh :-( i see. yeah ppl will always have a way to troll. it's sadly inevitable if your site has a bit exposure so i understand if its easier to just get rid of it
🎉 thank you so much for 1000 followers guys !!! 🎉 as a 'celebration', i've finally started my webring for all indie sites that offer coding resources, the Code Collective! obviously there are no members yet, but you should join !! https://petrapixel.neocities.org/webring
(also other small updates, including a new entry on my 'cats' page for my neigbor's cat (i moved apartments, guys!!) and a new selfie on my 'about me' page)
3 new personality quizzes !!! https://petrapixel.neocities.org/fun/quizzes :)
that's awesome!! I'm still at the very beginning of my resources journey (with just one Chattable tutorial posted) but i'm planning a lot more (layouts, graphics, more tutorials...), aside from helping people through my chatbox when they need it! Could I join already or should i have more content beforehand?
Thank you for adding me to your webring. My 1st webring in 25 years that I've joined! I'm still in the works of making more layouts. Thank you! :]
just wanna say thank you for the no-js widget!! we need more JavaScript webring tools that don't need members to embed a script
@kuroi one tutorial is enough for me, especially if you're planning on making more resources, so feel free to join ! :))
@kristylicious of course! thank YOU for joining!!
@dabric technically it's has js, but i know what you mean because there's no js on the members' side - and yes, i agree, that's why i created it! if anybody else wants to create a webring with my code (which I call "webringu"), you may of course => https://petrapixel.neocities.org/coding/webringu
