orwell...? as in george orwell, the antisemitic racist who was a colonial officer in myanmar and wrote anti-communist literature (ex. animal farm, a book whose central thesis is that workers are too stupid to lead society) during the height of ww2 and whose real-life job was the same as the 1984 protag...?
i don't think the guy who reported anyone he thought was a communist or, "looked jewish," to the english government and wrote his less-read document, "the lion and the unicorn," advocating for english socialism with an imperial general council ruling the world and maintaining military occupation in its colonies is perhaps the greatest source...
well color me surprised, i guess my knowledge of the guy stopped at his popular literary work. Animal Farm is a useful work for viewing communism thru an anticommunist lens (wrote an essay abt that years ago) and the band I'm talking about is a direct reference to '84, personal sins aside. more food for thought ig
