Attention people who know stuff about editing! I need some advice about this photo I took: https://hello-room.neocities.org/photos/9.jpg I like it, but it's obviously a bit grey. How might I go about making the colours more vibrant, or is that impossible at this point?
Do you have any image editing software? It should be as simple as turning up the saturation in order to increase the color vibracy. You can also turn up brightness (makes things whiter), and or shift the hues towards lighter colors (the more yellow the brighter it appears, the more purple, the darker it appears. Purple is the darkest color to the human eye. Yellow is the brightest.)
https://www.photopea.com/ this is a photoshop clone i've been using most often lately! generally for vibrancy i push up the vibrance/saturation in the "adjustments" section first (the upside triangle button), but to achieve your desired look you may have to mess around with other settings as well. i'm self taught and mostly just mess around until it looks how i'd like but you could check out tutorials too
Download GIMP, it's free and completely class. Load in the photo, use the colour tools drop down, and play with the saturation but also the exposure. I imagine if you bring up the exposure just a hair and the black content a tap to offset, then pull the saturation up to taste it would help. You can just use a little brightness increase on it after the fact. Hope this helps!
I have a bit of experience with digital media but I don't think I've edited a photo once in my life lol

thankyou peeps, these are helpful :) I don't have any paid editing software atm (apart from Aseprite) but it seems like this can be done without it
