Re: your question regarding the All tab, Lemmy is like Mastodon in that it can't know about another server unless someone has manually joined to a community there already. That's what you're seeing: those remote communities that already have local members.

Something that helps me is to invert it. Instead of "Oh no! I am overwhelmed by how much is left over," I try to think "Oh joy! I have so much more to explore." Technically, I will never be able to "complete" everything, but I can try to enjoy every moment of its unfolding.
