I'm not sure whether it were the photos from my website that inspired you to see Murmansk, but... If yes, then it is a nice feeling that I unknowingly advertised a place that's not exactly on everyone's traveling bucket list, and if no, then I invite you to take a look. (‾◡◝)

yeah!! even before your trip i stumbled upon pictures of the rural areas, it seems unreachable given the current situation and the cost of flights from IT, but one day... i will keep it as an option! (o゜▽゜)o☆

Your attitude towards local identity deserves a lot of respect!!! I feel the same, though the context of my area is entirely different
oooh tell me more !!!! imo - at least here - there is an hypocritical approach to culture, 'we' brag about having a rich culture but 'we' do nothing to preserve what actually pertains to the culture of our birthplace/family/etc
