When I get bored of a creative project I burn it down and build something completely different. But idk thats just me haha

I try to have different parts of my site be different "levels" of upkeep. Some stuff is more intensive than other, meaing when I'm demotivated I do the easy updates and when I want a challenge I stick to the hard stuff. Perhaps if you reread your manifesto to remind yourself of why you have your site that'll help?

i keep a blog (and sync when i feel like it). that way my site is linked w working on things. like a journal? and for blog notes i use obsidian (which outputs in .md) which has pretty UI + simple, so it's easy to open up and start

I have a goal to update once a month, everything outside of that is extra. Some months I have more motivation than others, but at least with my goal I'm keeping up with my hobbies

i just wait until i feel like doing it, no reason to feel pressure around my hobby

I find that taking a break and putting my creativity into something else tends to give me a reset, and lets the ideas flow again. I also like rolling prompt generators for small fun projects to spark motivation

Don't. if you're not interested in it anymore, move on. and if that makes you sad, identify why - is it because you know you'll miss it? is it because you feel guilty?

I'm sorry you've been struggling with that--In my case, demotivation is often an issue of accessibility. It tells me "I could use some help"--and I usually seek that help from peers. Sometimes that looks as simple as working on our own things in the same space..sometimes it's as difficult as coming up with a workable, malleable accommodation with their feedback.

I take breaks when I feel demotivated and do a different hobby for a while, but looking at other people's sites helps motivate me too.
thanks guys. i guess i will just take a break and hope motivation finds me again!
