does anyone know if hosting images on imgur has any negative effects on the site...is it like hotlinking or?? cause i dont wanna take half of my 1GB with images T__T

hmm i feel like imgur definitely has the space and money to support it, but the issue would be if the images go down there, you won't have them on your site... have you tried compressing some of the larger images?

I think you should be fine as long as your site doesn't become popular, in that case imgur will just block your site from loading the images. Though I don't see why using up 500MB of your neocities space is a bad thing (it's there for you to use...)

https://tinypng.com/ https://css-ig.net/pinga i use these two things to compress images, idk if they're helpful or not though! sometimes i also just shrink the images themselves if i'm only going to be showing them at a smaller size than they actually are.

I host most of my images on Imgur and Catbox.moe since I have the exact same concern, I haven’t seen any negative effects but as lhfm said I think it has sth to do with site
