Second note: I just now realized I surpassed 300,000 page views! Thanks to everyone who's stopped by over the years.

Wild guess: Your domain due for renewal soon? Used to get a TON of hits on my site every May from bots sniffing around for soon-to-expire dot-coms.
Wouldn't be that, my domain expires in September
