What motivates y’all to listen to music people post on here? Is it music that plays directly in website instead of links? Is it having a face to attach to the sound? A secret third thing? I am doing market research and would genuinely appreciate any feedback
at least for me personally, i am easily distracted and benefit from things being in my face a little tbh!! if the cloud on your layout for your music videos page were floating a little higher and maybe more toward the center of the page, i think it would be more eyecatching without disrupting the lovely only-one-awake-at-2-AM feel i get from your site :) directly in website is def convenient but i'll click out!!
not to tell you how to design your page of course haha. idk if you /need/ a face to the sound but having a little more of yourself immediately on display definitely makes the music feel more personal/human(?) to listen to!! i don't wanna be a drag race judge and say "we want to see more of you" but like, i do!! you're interesting, i dig your tunes, and your music videos are cool as hell!!
i feel like a big draw for people with music is feeling connected, to the people making it, to themselves in a different light through the song, to the other people who also enjoy it. i think more about yourself on your site might help!! (sorry for the essay ahhh)
for me its (1) knowing its there and (2) knowing a little about the genre or your inspirations/creative process! also having a link to the music page near the music on/off button could help! really love your tunes!!
Aaa thank you all so much for the feedback, this is incredibly helpful and will b incorporated as spoons allow!! Perhaps in finishing my music page I can include a blurb section and/or highlighted song section. Also I will move all the stuff up on main page so its less scroll downerish, or perhaps switch everything to opposite sides so links are on the right??? It would b an interesting science experiment
as long as its easily accessible i'll always check it out. the only caveat is that it'll take me a minute to actually get around to it. thats why having a music player is always appreciated

as long as a link or media player is visible, i'm probably going to listen to the music
