i just saw the detective pikachu movie trailer and it looks okay but the only major problem is the pokemon... why are they so hyper realistic

i mean i guess its a style choice and some people would want realistic pokemon but theyre just .... scary to me

one of my local cinemas had a silent voice showing once and it was soo good. :D i think while melodramatic, it's pleasantly so.
