Today I read Owl's Roost's new article, "Thoughts on Wanting" and not only did it resonate with me, it also seemed relevant to the character of David from Giovanni's Room :)
I studied to teach college lit, and I think academia lets the thought that some ways of reading are better than others sift through society in a crummy way. Audiobooks are just as valid a delivery method as words on a page. (Sorry! Soapbox!!)
Thank you, I think youโre absolutely right. I voiced my insecurity in an attempt to make myself feel better. But really, listening to writing just works for my brain more than reading. Physically reading, I expend great energy to not get distracted
