i realized a few days ago that i no longer felt my chosen name of 5 years fit me anymore (i came up with it while i was still questioning and it was similar to my birth name for others' convenience) and i now go by snake irl. i was worried that was Too Out There but all of my friends have so far agreed that it fits better and that they thought of me as "snake" in irl contexts anyway. feelsgoodman
