one of the webring widgets i have on my homepage takes way too long to load which leads me to think about just putting those widgets on their own page or something.

ah i used to have this problem re: scripts blocking page rendering - have you already tried applying the "defer" attribute and putting the script itself just before the closing "/body" tag?

i love the header font on my site bc i like a good extended/stretched font BUT it's a bit hard to work with esp when i have long words as titles lol... maybe i should switch to the one i use for CC-LINK
