forgot to mention that the music player was edited to resemble the one on my site. i'll add a file with the old version to the zip file later when i wake up. it's 4am i need to sleep... <- suffers from the wizard's curse (insomnia)
THIS SHOULD NOT AFFECT YOU IF YOU ARE USING THE DEFAULT WIDGET CODE. IF YOU UPLOADED THE CODE TO YOUR SITE INSTEAD TO CHANGE THE CSS OR PIXEL, YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR WIDGET. you'll still be in the webring, but your widget will not have previous and next buttons.
i also need to update the music player code but haven't done so yet because unfortunately i am afflicted by the wizard's curse (mental illnesses)... sorry about that guys
OH HEY !! i've been meaning to contact you but the email hasn't been working; i'm in the webring but it uses my old web address (the neocities one); could it use my current one, https://superkirbylover.me? apologies if this is the worst place to ask LMAO
oops sorry about that, my email had expired and i didn't have the money to reactivate it ;-; i will change your url for you! you can also do so in your account info, but i'll do it for you rn :)
THANK YOU !! i tried changing it myself but it was saying i needed to reset my password, but i think i joined before that system was in place... whoops
ah, no, you should only need to reset your password if you had forgotten it! the new system i put in place is an email system, so those who signed up before i implemented it would not have been able to reset their password if they had forgotten it. ^_^
Scratch that, I will make two separate scripts available: one for those who have neocities supporter status and one for those who are using neocities for free. that way, you can pick whatever script you need.
aw man :( thank you for working on a fix, though!! I'm missing some context here - why is it broken for free neocities users?
neocities introduced a stricter content security policy, which prevents scripts hosted on other sites from making requests therefore making them completely useless. i believe this only affects new accounts created in january of this year and forward.
i'm not quite sure why this change was made (probably to prevent malicious actors at the expense of everyone else...), but the stricter content security policy can only be turned off if you have neocities supporter. kinda sucks for those who can't afford subscriptions.
I noticed on another script thing they said theirs doesn't work for neocities sites made after January of this year, but also mentioned nekoweb sites also work at least for theirs so possible it could work here. Saw info on https://melonking.net/free/software/flood this site.
This is extremely exciting to hear! I'm hoping to (re)learn making my own layouts but in the meantime I'm keeping you in mind because I find your work so delightfully colorful and creative.
which one?
leprd.space! the person who maintains it makes it completely free for hobbyists! i only recommend switching over to them if you need a php database.
