Yes okay, we're totally on the same wavelength of things!! It's awesome that we can create these communities through the internet. It's all about finding balance like you said, and setting boundaries. Social media algorithims ignite and reward toxic behaviors to generate more clicks, but spheres like this aren't dominated by that which is a blessing

i’ve been really loving my notebook page…. it feels sm more low stress than my blog even though i write similar stuff n nearly as often. idk why. might want to rename my blog smth that feels less like i’m trying to do some major n update so it feels more usable

forgot to say anything before but i wanted to lyk in response to your blog that it’s very real to like. want to balance being honest & yourself on your blog but also allow it to be smth cool & artistic & curated n it’s a v hard line to walk ! also ik things are hard right now n like. figuring out who you are n what you want is such a lifelong journey but i absolutely believe in & am proud of you (cont.)

on the last stretch of Wall Of 4 Busy Workdays and very glad to get to rest after this for a couple days (but also seeing oli xl dj again in less than a week + weeklong workbreak in a week so i am Also Thriving)

I went to an in person local writing meet for the first time yesterday, and it was great and I got a lot of work done! So I'm happy today!

it sounds like everyone's feeling productive & satisfied which i'm really glad to hear :] it's been a sort of hectic few days for me, but they've also been quite good, n i'm finally back !!
What a treat to get to catch up on so many of your muse-response poems at once! My favorite is the Dali one, I think, just incredible to start & end with sand-rice and to imagine the trees leaning in to you like you're a sun and they want to understand and also to live. But the gooey cozy sleep-cocoon one is also SUCH a good description of that heavy lazy slumber.

having lots of thoughts on the idea of rejecting digital voyeurism and how, while good, it can easily lead to the rejection of community & reactionary embracing of individualistic, largely western values... will maybe write a blog post n talk abt it ?

I'd love to hear what you think. Been thinking a lot myself about how much of myself to share online attached to my poetry-publishing name, about why I don't want to lie about my identity and experiences or pull punches in my storytelling and whether I should more. Vulnerability is a dangerous thing, for sure, but I still find it important. At least I hope that's what you're talking about lol

Love the new blog! Also something I've been thinking about lately, so it was great to read where you're at. Maybe I'll write my own blog to lay out my thoughts--I always love having that back and forth. I'm also sorry to hear about the bad memory. It feels very connected to relationships, and community, and being observed, to me. A dream that got turned into a spectacle by a third party. Not that sharp of a turn!
