why does every website design i come up with look suspiciously similar to another websites layout
Okay i think i have a website layout that I will actually seriously try to implement........ I'll start working on assets whenever i have the time :D

Yes,can be sometimes tedious and annoying to make mobile friendly but in the end it make easier to navigate without to enable desktop mode and zooming.
