I am quite tickled by its CSS editor, which has no syntax highlighting, as well as its “refresh cache” button, which feel delightfully resonant of my Neocities editing process (I use the web editor directly and sometimes download the entire website for life event-driven crude version control). This is not an advertisement for Are.na; but if you happen to test it out, curious how you feel about EC’s starstar setup.
1548132 — yeah, I’d call it something broader than Pinterest; pretty flexible for whatever media type/format, beyond images. As dogblog wrote, it’s a mix! the upside is that if you _do_ encounter any synthesized AIML media, you can trace it back to the user that posted it (and proceed to restrict them to limit any interactions as you wish), whereas on Pinterest it’s probably harder to filter out
I recall there was some discussion about a watermark/marker for synthesized/“gen AI” media in the Discord, but there hasn’t been any official communications about it. No algorithmic (“for you”) feed though — you follow things and that becomes your feed.
