my hope is that this ends up driving people back to dedicated forums. im very sad to see communities focused on various things converge to a subreddit when they have a forum for the thing (first thing that comes to mind being the haxe programming language, which has had a huge chunk of community information cut off by virtue of people using the subreddit instead of their own existing and somewhat active forum)
That place has long been a s$*@ show IMHO. It's one of the reasons my site has a space for me to rant.
