Twinkle Nora Rock Me! (1985 anime) :: Have just watched it & don't have enough to say to make a review page about it, so take this: 1) it's unintentionally comical in how NOT animated it is, esp during parts where youd expect it to go hard in the animation 2) i am fascinated by the potential of "shitty" things and found nora herself fun and charming lmao

i dont remember where i heard it, but didnt the guy who produced or wrote it invest a ton of the production budget into a photoshoot with a woman in nora cosplay

2000s memory of freewebs. if ur account was free, at some point, ads were forced onto ur site. however, it was also possible to just use code to hide the ads 👽❗

"no hotlinking please!" people proceed to hotlink (but then the image would be replaced eventually usually with an auto message about how its being hotlinked) (´・ω・`)

ah... classic...

2000s memory of neopets. it was possible to use a filter to make your text "glow" on the neoboards then. but of course never worked on internet explorer & just appeared as unreadable white text on white background... 👽💧

...as for my question on stackoverflow, did not really get an answer, just a bit of... hostility 👽💦 then ignored. even so, a better scenario than expected. and i was able to interpret some, so im a little closer to my answer. maybe somewhere else i can ask. asking for help is so hard. javascript-heads sure are cut throat and discouraging...

yes you can totally do this! that's how I remember if someone has change their theme mode across pages. I need to write up how to do it, but for now take a look at my JS file https://frills.dev/js/main.js under // Dark mode toggle. it has some extra bits to check for system preferences, but hopefully something for you to get started with?

You don't really have to use getItem, you can treat localStorage as any other object. localStorage.getItem('foo') and localStorage.foo are more or less equivalent, just that the former returns null for nonexistent keys and the latter undefined. Also keep in mind that you can only store Strings in localStorage, any other type will be casted to a String.
