I really enjoyed reading this and I agree with many of your sentiments! Social media is fun in small quantities but it’s nice to have a “home base” for your website outside of that. Love the comparison of web design to scrapbooking as well.

@anewchanceanewday a webring is a made up of a bunch of sites that link to each other through a little previous/random/next widget usually themed on something like interests or the way the websites are made https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webring
