whenever I think my website is written poorly I always remember the neocities stylesheets (this page, not the actual sites people make) and feel better about myself

some of you seriously need to start putting more faith in hosting your images on your neocities sites because running a website cannot be fun to dig into with the longest image links of all time (cough cough tumblr)

i understand buttons and audio and stuff like that cuz having other people hotlink your stuff wasting bandwidth sucks (if i understand how its used iirc) but for images that are supposed to be locked to your site it cannot be a downside to just use your own website

images don't even take up that much u get 200gb of bandwidth and for most sites that's rly good. I never understood that

neo.css looks like it was computer-generated (not like genAI, but something like a WYSIWYG webpage editor) otherwise whoever wrote it was a sadomasochist
